At Jerry Clay Academy, all children in Year 6 are given the opportunity to apply for a Junior Leadership Role. Their role is to act as a link between the children in all of our classes, all the school committees, the Senior Leadership Team and the Trustees of Jerry Clay Academy. As members of the Junior Leadership Team, they have an incredibly special role in making sure that all children in our school have a voice, with lots of opportunities to evaluate and develop Jerry Clay Academy, so that it continues to grow.
In order to join the Junior Leadership Team, children are given a chance to exhibit their learner traits by preparing a presentation and interview detailing why they will be the best candidate for the role they are applying for. Every year, our children strive to be the best that they can be during this democratic process!
Throughout the year, our Junior Leadership Team develop invaluable leadership skills and understand and develop organisational skills.
