We are delighted that Jerry Clay Academy is one of 34 English Hubs appointed by the Department for Education. We have also been assigned as a Regional Hub (North) for Accelerator funding for Phonics for 2021-22.
Support
Support this academic year will consist of the following.
- Showcase events – sharing best practice in phonics, early language development and reading for pleasure for up to 85 schools
- Bespoke school support – action planning and development work over 2-3 days per school
- Funding – up to £6,000 for those who meet the eligibility criteria, £3,000 match funding for other schools that meet criteria to purchase phonics resources or training
We also provide intense support in early reading to our partner schools over the academic year. Literacy Specialists are assigned to schools over the course of the year.
