Local Governing Board
The role of the LGB at Jerry Clay Academy
The role of the Local Governing Board at Jerry Clay Academy is to provide strategic local oversight and to act as a “critical friend”, supporting the work of the Senior Leadership Team and other staff. Governors also have a key role in monitoring the academy’s progress and in setting annual targets for the school’s performance and for the Head of Academy, alongside the CEO. Membership and terms of reference of the LGB are agreed annually. Our LGB all take on specific roles to ensure that we have monitoring coverage across the Academy Development Plan. This ensures that we have robust monitoring, accountability and challenge in place throughout all areas of our school.

Complaints
We hope that you will be very happy with your child’s education. If, however, you have cause for complaint, please contact the Class Teacher in the first instance. If you still have concerns these should be brought to the attention of the Headteacher and subsequently the Chair of the Local Governing Board.
